Read verse 14a. Why is it difficult to get along with some people? (14a) To what extent are Christians to try to resolve conflicts? (Also read Ro. 12:18; Mt. 5:23-24) Why is it important to live in peace with others? (Mt. 5:9)
Read verses 14b-15. Why is holiness important? (14b; 1 Pe. 1:15-16) In what way should believers pursue holiness? (Jn. 6:53-54; 1 Jn. 1:9) Why would some believers fall short of the grace of God? (15) How would you counsel a friend who was extremely bitter and cause trouble?
Read verses 16-17. What kind of things do Christians need to watch out for? (16) Why should we not be sexually immoral or godless?
